PurpleOceanMoon's Birthday!

As many of you may know, yesterday was Jennifer's birthday! I'll let her tell you how old she is!

I surprised her with home fried tacos and a homemade cake. We put her age in candles on the cake! What a fire!

I thank God for my sister! She is the best sister anyone could ask for, and I love her dearly. She is my very best friend, and is indeed almost myself.

Whew!

Well, I got the job! I went in for a second interview today, and I was on the phone telling my mom, when I got a call on the other line. It was the office, and they want me to start on Monday! It's another part-timer, but with my migraines and all the troubles with Medi-Cal, Unemployment and my divorce, I think it's a good thing. Also, you can still get Unemployment in you are part-time! So I think I will be good for a while! I just need to not have migraines and illnessess, so wish me luck!

Heh, heh

I stopped crying and got ready for my job interview. It occured to me that I might get this position, and then unemployment would just be a terrible memory. I was ready early, so I called the office to see if they would like me to come in right then. They said, "Great! See you in a few minutes!" The interview went beautifully! It seems that my experience is exactly what they need! Also, the office is just 5 to 10 minutes away! The position is part-time right now, but the two secretaries I interviewed with are going to push for full-time. They have a huge pile of judgments that need to be worked, and I know how to move a huge pile of anything, let alone judgments! A second interview with the actual attorney is needed and before I left, the senior secretary said I would be hearing from her! Please, God, let me KEEP this one!

When I got back, I felt better. I calmly started to look through all my records that I keep ever so neatly, (not!), in the corner. The dust may still give me a migraine, but I don't care. I found a statement from Social Security! It was for 2004, though. I called un-employment, and actually got in to hold right away! I was on hold for about 7-10 minutes, but at last I got someone. He said the statement would be fine, and that they really want a copy of my driver's license and something for address verification. So I made the appropriate copies, threw in a copy of my last W2's, and they are waiting for the mailperson right now. Whew! So, I will at least still get unemployment money! I can still get it if I am not working full-time, too! Again, whew!

I'm a freaker-outer! Sometimes I just have to remember to calm down because nobody is going to explode if things don't go smoothly. Bumps in the road are all part of life, and flippin' out helps no one.

Even More Troubles

Nothing is going smoothly for me, right now. I am in tears at this very moment.

I applied to Unemployment last week online, and now they sent me a letter saying that they don't know who I am and that they need all these documents stating who I am, most importantly, my annual social security statement. I have looked every place I could look, and could not find it. I have to order it. I have a job interview today, and looking through all this dusty stuff could give me a migraine. I already had one yesterday, too.

The letter from the EDD said to call them if I need more time to collect the documents. I called. They said they had already gotton the most calls possible, sorry, call later, and then hangs up on me. I called over and over, until I got accepted and was on hold. My phone was going to die, so I tried putting it on the charger. It hung up.

I decided to call Social Security to request a copy of the annual statement. I get through pretty quickly, but the lady says that they mail your statement right around your birthday. Mine's in October, so I won't be getting another one for a year. I ask for another one, she said I have to apply for it. All she can do is send me the request form, and when I fill it out and send it back in, it'll take about TWO MONTHS to get! This is why I am crying! Every single fuckin' thing I have been trying to do lately has just been waaay difficult! I realize that if I hadn't lost my statement, I wouldn't be in this mess, but what can I do about that now?

On another note, when I finally got a new worker for Medi-Cal, she had me go down to the office and meet with the lady who helps people fill out that form where you choose your dentist and doctor. That form that didn't have a place for my doctor that I put the doctor on anyway. I already knew how to fill it out, and didn't know why my worker told me to come down. When I met with the lady, she said that I had been kicked off Medi-Cal due to, "non-cooperation with other insurance issues," or something similar. Can you believe it?! NON-COOPERATION!!! I assumed they put that there because I didn't produced a letter from Kaiser! I had to fill out the form and start all over again!

I really don't know how much more of this crap I can take! I need SOMETHING to go smoothly! Please God, listen to me and answer my prayers!

Definition of a Bitch

My friend, Crystal sent this email to me, and being the Crazy Bitch, and identifying with it so well, I had to put it on my blog instead of sending it to all my women friends. I want men to see it, too. We women still get a lot of flack for simply being female and showing our feelings. When are we going to be viewed as equal to men? When will we all just be, "people?"

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.

When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart It means I live my

life MY way. It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.

And if that makes me a bitch, so be it. I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

Updates

I thought I would update some of my blogs. They didn't really need an entire post on any of them.

Medi-Cal Woes: I called Kaiser again. They said the K code was off. I tried to make an appointment at my doctor's again. Sorry, ma'am, our computer is down right now and I can't make an appointment. That was Friday. I tried to re-fill some prescriptions for my migraines at Walmart. They re-filled one of them just about two months ago. Sorry, ma'am. They say you are ineligible. I call my new worker today. Please leave me a message, I'm gone from the 4th through the 12th. I left a HUGE message. I am waiting, again.

Barking Dog: The dog has been given a nice, plastic dog igloo. She has been barking less. I knew she would bark less because she is less scared. I haven't heard the man beating her again. I do hear both of them yelling at her to shut up. Sometimes kids come over and play with her all day long.

Guitar Hero: I have just beat Guitar Hero II on medium! The UFO came and took me away just like a true legend! I just tried "Shout at the Devil," on hard. Couldn't even get through it. Did you know that your character looks sad when you suck? I'm not sure I can do hard. I don't think my eyes can look that fast. Everybody over here in the Arden Area are pretty stoked that we're bringing it to Grandma's on Easter. Rosie and Angel are learning how wonderful it is.

Migraines: I have had one other migraine since the really bad one. I did not take too much medicine, and bravely got through it with acupressure. My second days are getting worse, though.

Job Search: I have had an interview with a wonderful law firm downtown. They are in the house that the owner of Weinstocks built in Sacramento when they left San Francisco because of the earthquake. I hope I get it. I also hope it has ghosts! The lights flickered when I was waiting for my interview!

Well, my peeps, be well.

At this point, I, Jenn and Seth would like to put the idea of playing Guitar Hero with Mr and MrsManuel and Miss Cassie on Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Whaddaya guys think? Shall we play?

AAAAAAAGH!!!!!!

On my last blog, I was talking about hope. The very next day I got a migraine so painful, I accidently overdosed slightly, I had a panic attack and totally thought I was going to die. My mom had to come home from work and just hold me for about an hour until I went to sleep. I had mixed acetaminophen and muscle cream along with my hard core anti-inflamatories prescribed by the doctor. I was on the computer when I got the aura, so that's why I haven't been on it again since. I just got brave enough to get on again, because today I got really, really pissed.

Since my husband left in April of last year, I have been trying to get to see the doctor. I applied to Medi-Cal again, and waited and waited for my cards. I called my worker. He said he would send me a temporary Medi-Cal card. I got it in a few days. More time goes by. I called my worker. Where's my permanent medical card? That WAS your permanent medical card, he says. Ok, but who's my dentist and doctor? Ok, I'll have them send you your information packet to fill out. You have to send it in by the deadline it gives you or you'll have to start all over again-ok? Ok.

I get my packet. On the doctor and dentist form there isn't a place to put my doctor choice. I put it on the form anyway. A month or so later, I get my dentist and dental card. I call my worker. Where's my doctor? He says, I don't know. Call this 800 number. So I call the 800 number. You're listed as having Kaiser, ma'am. What? You have to tell your worker to get Kaiser off of here. He's the only one who can do it. I call my worker. I had to leave a message. He didn't call me back for over a week and two messages later. I finally called the office to speak to his supervisor. Oh, he's in a meeting with everyone, and there's no one who can help you right now, sorry. Just leave another message.

I left a message for his supervisor, but got a call from him. I told him what happened and how he has to take Kaiser off my file. He said he would mail me a form. A few days later, I get the form. It looks like the wrong form. I called my worker. No that's the right form, just fill out this one little question, and send it back to me. I did. FINALLY, I got my medical card and my doctor. I made an appointment. I had to wait about three weeks, but it was today.

I am filling out the papers for new patients when I hear them call my name. They said, sorry, you are listed as having Kaiser. WHAT?!!!! We can't see you today, bye bye!

Furiously I head for the welfare office. I wasn't going to call that idiot again. I get to the window and the lady says I can't see my stupid worker because he isn't my worker anymore. I don't have a worker, right now. WHAT?!!! OH MY GOD! I HAVE to talk to someone today! Ok, the lady says, you can see the Worker of the Day.

FORTY MINUTES LATER! I go to the window, again, as I have had to do twice already. (This is their way to make you give up and go home, maybe?) Finally, I got to see the Worker of the Day. She says I have to get a letter from Kaiser stating that I don't have them anymore. What?

Now, let's take a second here, and look at all the technology in the world and figure out why these idiots can't just call each other, or fax the letter to Medi-Cal, or communicate in some way? Why do I have to do this?

I started crying. This HAS to work, I tell her! My migraines and allergies are out of control! This has been going on since APRIL! Come ON! She says I can just to to one of Kaiser's administrative offices and get the letter and then just bring it back to them. So I drive down to Kaiser. There is no parking. Not one space! It's the hospital, what was I thinking, anyway?

So I go home and call the member services 800 number. When I get through all the automated crap and finally get a person she says that Kaiser doesn't give letters. They will take the K-code off of me and that will take 24 to 48 BUSINESS hours to complete. I said, but Medi-Cal told me to get a letter! What if this doesn't work? She said it WILL work, and that it may be Medi-Cal's policy to ask for a letter, but it isn't Kaiser's policy. Their policy is to do the K-code thing. Bye!

So that's where I am now, waiting for almost a week to get this K-code thing off my file. I will make another appointment with my doctor, but I'm going to check my eligibility before I go in. I am soooo pissed right, now!

Nobody cares about you when you are on Medi-Cal. Nobody has any sympathy for you. It doesn't matter that your life is falling apart. It's just not their policy.

This Year (so far)

Ok, so far this year is freaking great!

I haven't thought about whathisname is so long. This makes me VERY happy. It might truely be time to move on. I want to know how everyone feels about dating at work. There is a smoking hot guy at work and I'm very curious about him. But should I even bother and what if it dosen't work out? Awkward? I've been trying to give it some real thought here. I don't need to jack-up my life anymore than it is.

Oh my god he is fine! I find myself trying to find ways to talk to him. He's always so nice and sends me email's sometimes with a ;-). How cute is that? He's smells good too. I don't know help me out guys!!

The other GREAT, WONDERFUL & AMAZING thing in my life? I don't want to jinx it, but I (maybe) getting a promotion. With a raise and bounes every three months, so keep yuou fingers crossed for me.

So far, so good. If January is this good, can you imagine how this REST of the year might go?

Crap!

Last Wednesday, I was let go from the first of my two part-time jobs. I am pretty sad and also happy.

I am sad because I will be even poorer and I will miss my boss. He was the most kind and understanding boss I have ever had. He never minded when I had a migraine, and was indeed very concerned for me when I did. He was generous in my pay per hour, and birthday and Christmas gifts. I will never forget "Sir."

I am happy I am not there anymore because I didn't get along very well with Sir's secretary. She was always crabby and short-tempered. She used to snap at me almost everyday I was there. She made me so nervous that I had a hard time learning. (I have been learning very well at my second job because they are so laid back.) Everything had to be perfect, and nobody's perfect.

I had just begun to "get it," when I was let go. They just didn't have enough work for me.

I went to work at my only job, now, yesterday. I had a full day, and got a lot done. Nobody there thinks things have to be perfect. Not even the boss, who is Sir's best friend. I hope work doesn't run out there, too. I really like it there. I am hoping that someday, they'll hire me full time. I wouldn't have to worry about my migraines because my boss there is also very understanding, and much more laid back than Sir.

Besides, I am going to the doctor at the end of the month, and am hoping allergy shots will cause me to have much fewer migraines. Then I'll only have my emotional problems to deal with, which I must say is getting better. I am beginning to think I may not need anti-depressants. This has just been a hard time in my life. After all, I AM getting divorced and being forced back into the work place with this debilitating condition.

But for some reason, I am feeling really strong today. I usually feel weak and ineffective when I lose a job, but today I feel like I'll be able to take care of myself and my son once I begin my allergy shots. It must be HOPE.

I'm Back!

Aaagh.....It's good to be back!

Where do I start. Christmas was FUN. Seeing my family makes me very happy. Cousins were cracking me up. Grandma can't hear anything . . . good times. There were new people this year. Yes! Two new guys. Very cute and very sweet. My girls brought their boyfriends. Matt & Day- Day.

I also got great gifts this year. Good for me. I got "JAWS" for PS2. You ARE the shark. I wish everyone could have seen the face on Allison! LOL!!! Good times. I love gift cards. I got Elephant Bar & Starbucks. Yummy. The sweaters that I got make me look really good. I ate too much though, oh well.

It's been fun catching up. I don't know what what I'm doing for New Years, but there will be drinking. Later!

Purpleoceanmoon

My sister, Purpleoceanmoon, (Jenn), got kicked off the Crazy Bitch Blog accidentally as a result of my moving over from Beta. I have sent her another invitation, as the first one hasn't been received as yet.

I have also sent an invitation to Angel, her second daughter. We will see what she chooses to call herself.

Barking Dog (continued)

Well, I called the SPCA on my neighbors. They told me that they haven't had officers to go do warnings, etc. in three years! I HAD to call the County.

It's not called "Sacramento County Animal Control" anymore. It's called "Sacramento County Animal Care and Services." That's good.

I had looked over the fence that morning to see if they had given the barking dog a house yet, but no house. I then noticed that I couldn't see a bowl of food or water anywhere.

When I finally got someone to answer, (I was on hold for over ten minutes just to speak to a person), I reported the problem only after I stated I did not want the dog picked up only to be put down. I told her that the dog has no shelter and perhaps no food or water and barks quite a bit. I told her that I thought the dog would stop barking so much if she had a dog house to go into.

I haven't heard the man beating the dog again, but I have heard him loving her up, (sigh). I did, however, report to the County lady that I had heard him beat her to try to get her to shut up. She said they would be doing a "welfare check." That sounds fine to me. I also told her I wanted to be anonymous. The last thing I need is more troublesome neighbors.

When I am in my warm bed at night, and the wind is blowing hard and cold, or it is raining, I am so very sad for the dog. I hear the clinking of the tags on my little shih-tzus as they mosey around the bed in the dark like tiny cows and I realize how lucky they are.

Barking Dog

My neighbor that lives directly behind me has a large, brindle, mixed breed dog. She has been barking a lot lately. She has been waking me up early in the morning. I finally had it the other day when she woke me up at 5:30 in the morning.

I went over to her house and knocked on the door. The man of the house answered. I was very nice. He told me that he has been trying to train her not to bark. How do you train a dog not to bark, especially if she is outside all the time? He told me her sister was gone, (what does that mean?), and she has been outside because they had a newborn in the house, and they don't want her around the baby.

I have been hoping someone else would call the police or the ASPCA, but just now I heard something that really pisses me off.

I was sitting on my bed by the window. I had it open a little bit, and so was able to hear the dog barking very, very well. I started having fun with it, and told my dogs to "speak." We were all barking for a little while. We stopped and I was watching tv. The dog on the other side was still barking. After a while, I heard the man yelling at her to shut up. Then I heard this sound that sounded kinda like a big tennis ball bouncing over and over. I didn't know what it was until I heard the dog begin to whine. He was hitting her really hard.

I felt instantly sick. I felt almost responsible. I wanted to steal her from them. What can I do?

I guess I will have to call the ASPCA. I have been afraid to call anybody because I felt that at least she had a home and was fed. She doesn't have a dog house, though. When it rains, she has to stay under the awning of the house. They have a wicker love seat there for her to lay on. I was afraid that if she got taken from them, she would get put down because she is a large, mixed breed dog and they are hard to get adopted. I knew that the ASPCA would come out and tell them to get her a house. I figured they would get her one, but she would still be outside all by herself. But now. . .

Based on tv, I don't think the ASPCA will have her put down. I will have to call because she has had enough abuse.

The Phantom Fart

I have told my son, nieces and the rest of my family to never fart in close proximity(sp?) to me. Now, I know that no one, (hopefully), wants to smell a fart, but it's far more than that for me. Seriously.

Have you seen, "Click," with Adam Sandler? Remember the part where he's pissed at his boss, (David Hasselhoff), and stops time and farts loooong and hard directly into the guy's mouth? When he starts time again, his boss tries to talk, but keeps smacking his mouth and lips, trying to figure out what that is. He asks his secretary, "Shit? Did you put SHIT in my LUNCH?"

So, back to why I can't stand farting close to me. It is because the air that was JUST IN YOUR ASS is now IN MY NOSE and AROUND MY MOUTH! It is because there are ASS PARTICLES flying around lose in the air! ASS PARTICLES! From SOMEONE ELSE'S ASS!

Okay! Christmas is the time of year when everyone is shopping. Happy shoppers! Joyfully shopping and. . . farting.

I was at Walmart. I was joyfully shopping and turning a corner into a completely empty row. I needed cat food. As I turned into the row, I smelled it. I immediately closed my mouth and held my breath. Now, this wasn't your run of the mill fart; it was like some kinda hot, thick, diarhea fart! I almost barfed.

WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL lets lose this kind of fart in public? I tried to comfort myself, telling myself that it was some poor old person who had lost control of their ass. We can only hope. There was suddenly a crowd of people at the other end of the row, and after I grabbed the cat food, I had to turn around and walk through it again! Uuugh! Evil resides in that person's ass. Seriously.

All these people shopping means you are exposed to more people than usual while picking up anything at any store. You are in greater peril than one may have thought. Think about it, then don't go around shopping with your mouth open.
